I absolutely loved Oliver's line about not wanting to die down here. Amell has improved so much since the show started, and that was pretty heartbreaking.

That was pretty amazing, to be fair.

The thing that's impressed me, oddly enough, is just how funny Brandon Routh is as Ray Palmer. It's a shame he never got a fair crack of the whip, I think he's a decent actor and he seems like a good guy, so hopefully this will be a great part for him.

How are we feeling about the two episodes so far?

It's been a very quiet, contemplative season thus far. Which is quite mature.

Mostly though...

I don't think anything in this show makes a lick of sense, nor do the tones marry into any sort of cohesive whole.

And HOLY CRAP, Barbara Gordon has to be one of the worst written/acted/conceived characters currently on TV. I don't know if she's this terrible in the comics, but god damn. The hypocrisy she showed over Jim not wanting to tell her sensitive cop information was horrid.

Despite that though, there's enough chemistry between Jim and Bullock, and enough scene chewing from Penguin and Fish (!), that it's at least watchable. Room to grow.

Cheeeeeeeeese

That having been said, I thought the fight with the clones was fun, even if heavily riffing 2 of the Matrix movies.
